I guess I have to say I like the regular Series A more. The AAA had a big spice out of the gate and then subsided. I got expresso tastes that, at times, had quite a bitterness to the profile. It was fairly strong at times due to the bitter coffee flavor. I just would have liked the spice to stay around as I found it initially more to my liking. I’ll try a few more at different times before I make a personal final judgement. As of now liking the regular Series A best.

Very good review. I had one last night and completely agree with your review and thought this was a great cigar and a pleasure to smoke. Amazing price for the quality of consturction, burn, & flavor profile. Harder to find retail though. On my top-10 and I like complex & full-bodied with some spice that morphs (e.g. AB Tempus and Gurkha Black Dragon). I’m newer to the Penn Broadleaf (more experience with aged Cameroon and habano) but agree on its enticing attributes and it supoeriority over other more bland Maduro’s. Is the 5 Vegas A the same wrapper and how do you think it compares to the AAA?

I have to agree with your review here, the spice starts out in the front and then subsides only to reemerge at the end of the cigar. I didn’t get as strong of espresso flavors that you mentioned, but that’s prolly because I just got the PA Broadleaf sampler and couldn’t wait to start trying these cigars. Also, due to my hastiness, my burn was pretty uneven and I had to touch the cigar up a few times throughout the smoke. The real surprise for me in this cigar was that the full bodyness of this cigar didn’t come out until the 2nd third of the cigar right around the time that the spice subsides into smoother flavors. I am looking forward to giving these sticks some time in the humidor and then trying them again. Thanks for your review!

Nice review!! bought a fiver of these…not bad at all. Not as spicy as I expected from the review but I smoked it right OTT….reseting the other 4 and will try again in a few weeks!!

I’ve had a few of the robustos, and I must say I find the flavor profile on these pretty one dimensional. I definitely prefer the regular 5 vegas A over this one.

Great review. I have had 2 of the 5 Vegas so far I think and one was the Apostle, which I did not mind too much. I am afraid I would not like all the spice with this one, but I still might snag one just to try.

Nice review…didn’t care for the original “A”. Still have a few originals in the humi. May need to revisit…looking forward to trying the “AAA”…and remember to “tap that ash” LOL
