La Aurora Preferido 1903 Cameroon Robusto
Today I’m smoking the La Aurora Preferido 1903 Cameroon Robusto from Miami Cigar Company. Featuring a true African Cameroon wrapper, the tobacco in this Dominican cigar is aged for 2 years followed by several months in oak barrels, and is rolled by a single roller throughout before 6 more months of aging.
Much shorter review this time! Paired it with some Woodford Reserve bourbon, and talk about the inspiration for the pairing.
Company: Miami Cigar Company
Made In: Dominican Republic
Size: 5″ x 50
Wrapper: African Cameroon
Filler: Dominican Piloto Cubano, Bahía and Cameroon
Binder: Dominican Piloto Cubano
MSRP: $10/stick; boxes of 25 for $282.50

Mike,
At $10 they are a good cigar. If you can find them at the online bargain price for a couple of singles, it is well worth it.
Woodford is definitely very smooth with a nice hint of cherry to it. I usually drink bourbon on the rocks, but WR is smooth enough to sip neat.
I will have a contest for my review next Tuesday. Trying to figure out the prize at the moment, but I know what the contest will be.

I was poking fun at the Fall Contest being mentioned so much…you know me, always a smart ass =)

Great vid! I haven’t had an Aurora cigar since.. 2006 maybe? In Manhattan?
I’ve been inspired to go back and try it out.

Another great review, right up until those final seconds *hangs his head in shame* – lol
Sounds like a very nice smoke, but another one that is just overpriced for singles purchase. I might pick 1 or 2 up to try if I ever see them and have the funds at that time.
I have not had anything to drink for around 10 years except for wine and champagne, but i am looking forward to the spirits and cigars segment! Maybe it will let me find a nice smooth liquor to sip while smoking a cigar every now and again.

P.S. you have a contest going on? =) lol
