Two of them, the main two shops, never reopened like many businesses in our area. Most business were scared to risk a venture on the Gulf Coast after such a devastating hit. Every since that horrible day, the Mississippi Gulf Coast especially had a huge void for a cigar shop with a lounge. Enter The Cigar Shop.


Not the most creative name, LOL, but, boy, did this shop ever come at the right time. The Cigar Shop finally give Mississippians and visitors a place to actually buy a cigar AND smoke it! Some people might be surprised by this, but its the only shop with a lounge from New Orleans, LA to Mobile, AL. They have two large humidors with a great selection including brands like Oliva, Tatuaje, Illusione, Ashton, Davidoff, Zino, Avo, La Flor Dominicana, Viaje, Rocky Patel, Winston Churchill, Griffin, Alec Bradley, Montecristo, La Gloria Cubana, Perdomo and many others. They are even getting new stuff in every week and the prices are quite reasonable. There are three main seating locations. One, in the main shop area, two, a TV room, and, three, a small seating area near the large humidor. They also have a private cigar lounge that is really QUITE nice. It has wall to wall beautiful leather couches and chairs along with 3 massive TVs, one of which is a HUGE HD projection unit. Operations Manager, Craig Carpenter and Sales Manager, Billy Brantley, have really made the store very enjoyable with a friendly atmosphere. Every Friday they have Customer Appreciation Day, where they cater food, have free drinks including beer and have raffles for prizes.
