Got the same flavor profiles as the reviewer. The burn however was FLAWLESS. Not sure why yours were not. After the first third, which I liked, the flavors dissipated and I tasted nothing but bitter smoke. I put it down about halfway through.

I recently bought a Cusano 18, and the '59 Cameroon. I'm excited to try them and haven't had a Cusano before.

The ammonia taste usually comes from the plastic sleeve...

A newcomer to the site, keep up the good work!

Smoking one right now. No burn issue at all, it's about as even as it could get. Taste is smooth, and not to robust.

Enjoying it alot, along with a tall ice cold rum'n coke

I literally just smoked this cigar 30 minutes ago. Absolutely no problems with the burn, but I found the flavor to be a bit disappointing. The first 3rd was acidic and had a slight bitterness. Upon reaching the 2/3, I found the draw to be nice with lots of dense smoke, but the flavor became very bitter (less acidic), which did it no justice. At this point, I was ready to finish it. Although this cigar was not my favorite and despite the flavors during the duration of smoking it, it does have a nice aftertaste.

Nice review. I have heard mixed feelings on the Cusano line as well. I have never had this particular stick but I have had only good experiences with Cusano. Will have to give this one a try.

Thanks for reviewing. I've had countless of these and the LXI Sun Growns. While the Sun Grown is my favorite of the two, I always enjoy this stick. I haven't had the burn issues you experience with the '59 Rare Cameroon...that said, I tend to keep my humi at 65%. Maybe it would benefit from dry-boxing?

On a related note, lots of folks seem to have had less-than-great experiences with Cusano cigars. The odd poor-burner aside, I've never gotten the ammonia taste referenced above.

I have found the Cusano line of cigars suffer from a acrid ammnonia taste - even after sitting for a while. Never had a burn problem but the taste has turned me off completely.
