Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ Maduro
I’m sure most, if not all of you, are familiar with Jerry from Stogie Review. He lost his son JJ, his “little robusto,” a couple of years ago to SIDS, and in his memory Jerry promotes “Smoke a JJ for JJ Day,” in its second year. So today I’m reviewing the Series JJ Maduro Sublime by Don Pepin Garcia, a beautiful Nicaraguan puro that also comes in a natural version.
In the video I talk about the cigar, how I got to find out about Jerry and Stogie Review, his great video from his first “Smoke a JJ for JJ” day, what cigars mean to me, our July contest, our newest member, and our newest sponsors.

Excellent job Charlie.
Adam-Very well said. I feel the same way about my kids. I will be smoking a JJ today to honor Jerry and his family.
Great review! I never smoked a JJ yet, but I have 2 sitting in my humi and at least 1 is earmarked for today! I have the natural wrapper in the belicosa size.

For JJ and Jerry, I have one daughter who is now an adult ( I am a bit older than Jerry) and I could never imagine what they both went through ( Jerry and his lovely wife) when this did occur. Jerry is someone who seems to be a genuine nice guy and a gentlemen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now while we smoke and in Sept. when your wife is due.

Awesome review Charlie. It’s nice to see a video review with more than just cigar feedback. To hear updates, personal stories, contests, and site news makes them all the more interesting.

AMEN CHARLIE!!!! Jerry is no doubt a great guy and I respect the hell out of him. I think of him as the Godfather of Cigar Review. He too got me into this whole Cigar Blog gig. I joined the SRFF right around the time he lost little JJ. I didn’t even know the guy and my heart bled for him. I now have a son of my own and could not imagine what he went through. Jerry if you are reading this know that everytime I light up a JJ that I think about you and your son and in some ways it brings me even closer to mine knowing that life is so fragile and unpredictable. God bless…
