El Baton Robusto

The cigar today is the El Baton robusto from J.C. Newman. It’s their first Nicaraguan puro, and is made by Fabrica de Tabacos San Rafael S.A. It’s larger than a standard robusto at 54 ring gauge. Does it live up to it’s advertising slogan “Mucho flavor. Little dinero.”?

nice review. I think they were giving coupons away to get one of these free at your local b&m at one time but I never bothered. Doesnt sound like my type of smoke, but I might snag 1 if I see them just to try.

Great review! Sounds like a cigar I will have to give a try. You gotta love a value cigar that still gives you a nice enjoyable smoke. That rum is good stuff too! It can sneak up on you if you don’t pay attention! lol Thanks for the review!

The first one I smoked I rushed and didn’t much care for it. Subsequent sticks i enjoyed when I didn’t rush. The flavor develps and it really is a nice smoke when slowly enjoyed. Pair it with a nice stout.
