Great question, and I’m really not sure how to answer it. I’d have to assume that some aging would help this cigar burn better. Although I keep my humidor around 63-65% RH I gues it’s possible that the tobacco was still a little too wet to burn properly. In the future I may consider dry-boxing these cigars for a few days to see if that fixes the issue.

As for the cold, when I recorded this review I felt fine. But as of Sunday I’ve been dealing with a terrible cough. Perhaps I was showing the early signs and didn’t even know it.

Thanks for the review. I have been curious about these, having heard the trade talk about them. I was interested in Your opinion about potential aging. Do You feel like a touch of age might remedy the draw concerns? How did You think this cigar compared to the Punch that utilised the same “Feature Element” of the Ometepe leaf?

Great review. I like the HdM Excalibur Epicure and I had some of the 1066′s that I liked, so I might have to give this a try. Does seem a bit overpriced for what you get, but arent most things now a days ;)
