Illusione ~mj12~

Way back in March I reviewed the thinnest cigar from Illusione, the lancero-sized ~hl~. Today I’m reviewing the newest and fattest cigar in the line, the mj12. It weighs in at 6 inches long and a 54 ring gauge. Besides its size, it’s silver foil wrapping sets it apart from the rest of the Illusione line.

I picked out a Stone Brewing Company Levitation Ale to go with it, and talk about Illusione creator Dion Giolito, what mj12 stands for, my favorite Illusione cigars, apprehension over turning 30 in a few weeks, and trying like hell to get you to enter our Fall Contest. And thanks to dk_fxn and Skip for the photos.

Great review you old fart! Sounds like a smoke I will have to try! I just wish I could get Illusione a bit more local than an hour drive :(

My favorite cigar hands down right now

Nice review…happy 30th! I love Illusione stuff but he is awfully proud of them at the price point he charges. Nic puro rolled in Honduras, should be more like the Oliva V prices. Hey Eric, down with Cubans man! Them boyz stole it all and you are supporting that…IMO! However, they do roll some damn good plugged stogies!

Excellent review as usual. I have never had an Illusione although my local B&M just started carrying them. I may have to give them a try since you are always talking them up.

I hear you on the turning 30. I did not like it at all. I am now 40 and for some reason that did not bother me. I think it’s the thought that you are no longer a 20-something.

Happy birthday! I will hoist one for you.
