La Flor Dominicana Habano Corona

Smoking one of La Flor Dominicana‘s “experimental” cigars, the Habano Corona. It features tobacco from their La Canela farm (same as the LG Diez line) and the same wrapper that was used on their Salomon cigar. It’s limited to 700 boxes of 20 cigars, and retails for around $8 a stick.

I paired the cigar with an Oktoberfest from Brooklyn Brewery, and talk about cigar makers throwing a few curveballs with their cigars.

Great review.

I have never had a LFD I dont believe. I would probably lean more towards a commie or connie rather than the Habano though.

I dont mind limited editions, I just hate when they make store specific exclusives (RP Ocean Club, anything from the CAO Escaparate collection, etc.) I think it takes away from letting everyone try the cigar without jumping through hoops.

Great review Charlie! I really enjoy this cigar! I was lucky enough to pick up a box of these. I’m looking forward to seeing how these compare to the Habano Perfecto.
