I just finished a Padron 4000. It was quite lovely the say the least. I can't wait to smoke the 1964 anniversary maduro superior. You all will be the first to know when that will be. If you think $9 is to much to spend for such a flavorful smoke, stick with the cheaper brands. :)

It has a dark brown wrapper. It has a perfect size of 6 inches with 52 ring gauge. The draw is spot on and the burn unwavering. At the start it tastes sweet, with a hint of chocolate.it is not with much spice. After an inch or so the taste changes to woody. The last part is very nice.It is very subtle and coffee taste to complement. It is very costly. The 26 series much better than this one.

I just found this site tonight and I think that it is great. I certainly will be visiting this site quite often and will definitely throw in my opinion as I review cigars for a few publications and different manufactures and a lot of cigar stores across the country. I look forward to interacting with some of you smokers and share the experiance of a great pastime. I welcome this site and all of you with extra long ashes. Thank you, Bobbyg

I love the Padron 1964&1926 series in maduro, in fact today I enjoyed very much the 80th year series Torpedo maduro. I have several in my humidor and keep them close to my Hemmingway Signature maduro and my Cuban Cohiba Magico maduro from Cuba, and I enjoy it as wsll as my Partagas Lusitania also Cuban. The Padron family as the Fuente family make some of the best of the best smokes being very consistant in every aspect to gime us all the flavors and nuances of a very complex cigar. My hat goes off to Carlito Fuente as well as George Padron.

Hey Mitch,

I agree somewhat, but I don't think the 1964s are overprice nor over rated. Its a quality cigar that I can get locally for $8-$12 for the normal sizes. I don't think that is too bad.

This is an over rated and way over priced cigar compared to some nice Cubans you can get for half the money, in fact almost all of the Padron 64's 26's and especially the 80th are over priced. The only line they make which is reasonable for the cash are the regulars.
