Patel Bros. Toro

Cigar companies have long been family affairs, and it is even true of some of the new guard like Rocky Patel Cigars. Rocky teamed up with his brother Nish, the director of sales, to release the new Patel Bros. cigar. Wrapped in a dark Pennsyvlania Broadleaf maduro wrapper, the Patel Bros. cigar is supposedly the full production brother to the limited release Rocky Patel Winter Blend that was released earlier this year to rave reviews. Having hosted Nish a couple of times at the tobacco shop where I used to work, I can attest that this full-bodied cigar is in keeping with his personality and tastes.

I paired the cigar with coffee, talk about Nish and Sammy from Rocky Patel, and the importance of events. Also, congratulations to DJ for winning my birthday contest. Please send us your shipping address via our contact form so Corona Cigar Company can send you your prize.

Name: Patel Bros. Toro
Company: Rocky Patel Premium Cigars
Wrapper: Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Comes in: Boxes of 20

From the Company: “For the first time in his company’s history, Rocky Patel has collaborated
with his brother Nish to create a full-bodied powerhouse cigar blend. The duo worked for years to find a robust and unique wrapper to accompany a special Nicaraguan filler and binder blend. A breakthrough came in the form of a beautifully dark and oily broadleaf wrapper selected from the tobacco fields of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. For each of their efforts, they decided to call the rich and bold cigar PATEL BROTHERS.”

Great review bro. I wasn’t impressed with the Rocky Patel 1961, and any single time I’ve said that I get the same response. “Try the Patel Bros.”. This instilled the need to check this cigar out even more.

Keep it up!

Great review. I just thought this one and the 1961 were boring. I did not even think it was full bodied at all! Maybe my brother in law and I got duds, but we had the same opinion. Oh and for the record, he is a HUGE RP whore! everything and anything RP he tries and usually likes, but not this one nor the 1961.

Which vitola did you guys smoke? I know the toro samples I smoked were much stronger than the robustos I’ve had. Like I mentioned, I can’t wait to try the corona size.
