FYI What I ended up doing was cutting a piece of construction paper to fit the top section. Then I glue the labels to the paper. I plan on putting labels in all the indented areas, which is the reason I used the construction paper. I figure its easier to work with on the rounded edges. Then I used a heavy duty adhesive to mount the paper to the lid. After that I used Mod Podge to seal that to the lid. After about 15 coats of Mod Podge it looks pretty good, hopefully it holds up.

David,

I actually used a device my wife uses for scrapbooking to apply the bands to the case, I cant think of the brand off hand. I ran them through the device, which turned them into stickers. I stuck them on in random order and then sprayed a few coats of clear sealer on them. However this did not work too well, and I am currently looking for a better solution. Once I find that solution I'll create a post about the hole process.

I like what you did with the bands on the lid. How did you apply those and did you put anything over the top to protect them from damage or peeling up?

As long as you maintain the proper humidity, your cigars will be fine using this travel humidor. The only downside I see is running out of room, but you may have more self-control then I do when it comes to buying cigars. HA!

Any downside to using this as your primary humidor? Will cigars be o.k. if kept inside of case for extended period of time with proper humidification?

Thanks!

Good stuff! I just started looking around to find reviews on travel humidors that are out there, so this is perfect timing. With warmer weather right around the corner I would like to pick something up for those weekend trips and social gatherings with friends.

Fantastic review as always...please keep the posts coming!
