Avo Heritage Short Robusto

At this year’s IPCPR, Avo Cigars introduced a new cigar to their line. It was somewhat of a departure from the other Avo cigars in that it would be stronger and less expensive than the rest of of the lines. That cigar is the Avo Heritage. I was given a sample of this cigar at the show by Edward Simon and immediately sparked it up. It was so enjoyable that I took a break in the Avo Lounge the had set up until the cigar was down to the nub. Needless to say, this was one of the best cigars of the show for me and I wasn’t alone thinking this. If you haven’t seen it yet, Edward was gracious enough to take some time out to give me a video interview which he talks about the cigar in detail which I posted on the site several weeks ago. Finally, I was able to get a full review up. How does this cigar stack up to the other Avo cigars? Watch the video and find out.

First of all Ben, I love the hat.
Second of all great review!

I haven’t smoked one yet but I will be changing that shortly.

I def agree with you about this cigar. I haven’t tried the other sizes, but after I smoked the first one I went and bought 5 more! I found that the spicy note dies off about after 1/2 inch or so, but to me that is where the cigar really picks up, that sweet wood flavor with the butteryness and the nuts, great flavors off this cigar, and the aroma is heavenly as well. For 7 bucks this is a great stick!

Hey Ben, great review. What’s the smoke time on the short robusto? Really thinking of getting a box. Keep up the good work!

About an hour to hour and 15 minutes give or take 5 minutes. Not too bad.

Exceptional cigar and a favorite!   I'm buying myself a box of these short robustos for Christmas — Famous Smoke Shop has a "20% off over $100" promotion through Dec.18th and with their current free shipping on these, they're just over $100, delivered!
