Quick Draw – La Reloba Seleccion Mexico
I’ve been wanting to do more reviews of some cigars that people have been asking for, but I don’t always have the time to do a full review. Because of that, I’ve come up with a short review that I’m calling the Quick Draw. First cigar that I will be doing is the new La Reloba Seleccion Mexico. It has the same binder and filler as the other La Reloba lines, but this cigar line use a Mexican San Andres wrapper. After having good experiences with the San Andres tobacco coming out of Mexico now on the La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amor, Oliva Serie V Maduro, Murcielago, Padron Anniversary Series (Shhh!), etc, I had to give this one a try. So, I placed a call to Luis at Habana Port in Convington, LA to get some samples in the robusto and corona. I found the robusto a little one dimensional, which wouldn’t be bad, but the flavors were a little ordinary. Would the corona be the same? Watch the review and find out.

I smoked the toro size yesterday for Cinco de Mayo, and while it isn’t my preference of vitola, I did find it to be an enjoyable use of Mexican tobacco, and actually offered some flavor I wasn’t expecting from it, given the sort of typical profile that a lot of San Andreas wrappers give in my experience. Thanks for your review.
