San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol
At the 2009 IPCPR Ashton introduced the new San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol which, like the original San Cristobal, is blended by Don Pepin Garcia. This cigar features a Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper that was hand picked by Don Pepin and his son Jaime from the first crop of tobacco grown in the Estrella farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. This Nicaraguan puro is available in 3 sizes: Robusto 5 x 52, Belicoso 5.5 x 52 and Toro 6 x 52. The cigar looked nice, with a light caramel colored wrapper and triple cap. The pre-light aroma was light off the wrapper and slightly more obvious off the foot with hints of cedar and sweetness. At a couple points during the recording of this review we experienced some technical difficulties, but you’ll get all the important information. So now it’s time to cut the cigars and set fire to the end. Since we missed it in the video…remember, Nothing Beats a Nice Tight Ash!

Stephen,
If you have tried multiple times, then I am not sure why it is not working. I am not having any problems on this end but we are also continuing to try to get the video embedded here so check back in a bit and we’ll have it here for you.
Thanks for letting us know and for your support.
I could not watch it either – tried yesterday and today – plays a bit, but then just stops for me. I have no player controls to pause/play or see how much of the video has been loaded. Really goofy.

Everything worked great this time :)
Shame the cigars split like that! I hate when they do that, then start to bubble and tear apart! Sounds like a middle of the road cigar that I dont think I would pay $8 or $9 for, but like you guys said, it seems everything has gone up in price so much that this is the new middle price :(
EXCELLENT idea for getting some stogies to the troops! I will have to do as much as I can to support you guys in this endeavor!

Oh – thought – if someone wins the raffle would they be able to donate the winnings to go in the care package also or would the package have already been sent out?
Mike, thanks again for your comments. I think we could arrange to hold off on shipping the package until after the winner(s) is announced, allowing the winner that option.
When I went to the blip tv site I could not see the video for some reason. I could hear it, no video though. Booo!
