Gran Vida Habano by Rocky Patel

A week or two ago I reviewed the Gran Vida Maduro which was given to my to try by the owner of Emerson’s Cigars. Well today I’m going to be smoking the Habano wrapped version of that cigar. The Gran Vida Habano has a medium to dark brown wrapper and feels pretty heavy in the […]

Rocky Patel 1961

Rocky Patel has a new factory in Nicaragua, the Tabacalera Villa Cuba, S.A, and the first cigar to be made in this factory is the 1961. This cigar was created to celebrate Rocky’s birth year and features an Ecuadorian grown Habano wrapper. The first thing I noticed about this cigar was the incredible amount of […]

Tabacos Baez Serie SF

Welcome to my Black Friday review of a Cheap Ash cigar. The Tabacos Baez Serie SF is a new addition to Tabacos Baez line from Don Pepin Garcia. What makes this cigar different is the fact that it is made up of 70% long filler and 30% short filler. Because of the short filler this […]

My Father Cedros Deluxe Cervantes

This week I’m reviewing the My Father Cedros Deluxe Cervantes. These cigars were graciously given to me by @BigABoyd to review. Thanks Aaron! These cigars are a subset of the regular My Father line in two size that aren’t in the regular line: Eminentes – 5 5/8 x 46 (corona gorda) Cervantes – 6 1/2 […]

Cheap Ash: Casa Fuego Toro

The Casa Fuego is a budget friendly stick from the maker of the well received J. Fuego Delirium, Grand Reserve Corojo No. 1, and the new 777 Corojo that Ben recently reviewed here. It is a Nicaraguan Puro rolled in Honduras. From what I can gather, this line is exclusive to Cigars International and they […]

Perdomo Habano Maduro

Available in 3 different wrappers, Corojo, Maduro and Connecticut, the Habano line will fit a variety of tastes. For this review I’m featuring the Maduro version, which quickly became a regular […]

New Ash: Oliva Cain Habano

The Oliva Cain was introduced last month during IPCPR in New Orleans in both a habano and maduro wrappers. This new blend is another brain child from Sam Leccia of the Nub fame. I met Sam along with Ian Hummel and Josh Rushlo, Oliva sales representatives, at IPCPR in New Orleans and they gave me […]
