Berger & Argenti Mooch Maduro

Last November I reviewed the Berger & Argenti Mooch which I thought was a great mild cigar that fell into a great price point. Now the Maduro version has been released, and I was anxious to get my hands on these.

Name: Mooch Maduro
Company: Berger & Argenti
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Maduro
Binder: Jalapa, Nicaragua
Filler: Esteli, Nicaragua
Price: $4.90/stick
Comes in: Box of 24
Vitola: Minnie (4 3/4″ x 42)

Final Thoughts

From begining to end the Mooch Maduro provided excellent well balanced flavor. Not to mention the excellent burn and draw. The cigar started of with a blast of black pepper which mellowed but remained throughout the entire smoke time. Additional notes I picked up on were coffee, earth and nuts. I’d have to place this cigar in the full-bodied category, but it’s certainly smooth enough to be palatable to someone that enjoys a milder cigar with spice.

The Mooch Maduro is a great cigar and as a bonus it comes in under $5 dollars per stick. I highly recommed this cigar if you enjoy Tatuaje Noellas. Although the Mooch Maduro doesn’t taste exactly like a Noella, it does have a certain quality that reminds me of one. Definite box purchase for me and well worth the cost for a five pack.

Chris,

Sounds like a winner. I also like the smaller ringed Coronas and PC sizes. What other size does it come in? That’s a very reasonably priced smoke as well. Have You tried any of the other offerings in the line? (other than the nat mooch)

Well done Chris. I smoked the entubar recently which was really good and I was actually saying away from these because I was under the impression they were more medium. Whenever I hear nic puro and full bodied together its a must try for me!

A great review Chris, I’ve smoked the Berger & Argenti Mooch Maduro, Toro size. It was a good cigar. Its a anytime cigars. The strength was mild to high medium, smooth and good favors. I like the Berger & Argenti Mooch Maduro alot.
