First Impressions: Perdomo Patriarch Connecticut

Here is another review of a cigar released at the 2009 IPCPR Trade Show. The Perdomo Patriarch Connecticut is an extension of a line released at the 2008 show with both a Corojo and Maduro wrapper. The Patriarch line was released as a tribute to Nicolas Perdomo Sr., who passed away in July 2004. This cigar features a blend of tobacco from three regions in Nicaragua including Condega, Jalapa and Esteli. This cigar is made with cuban tradition in mind and is sold in boxes of 20. This cigar features a beautiful, almost velvety, wrapper. The construction is superior, and for a connecticut wrapper it looks down right tasty. So lets fire it up and see the proof in the smoke.

Great review – HELL of an ash! This seems like something that might go good with the morning cup o joe, if it isnt too strong! I will have to give these a try asap!

Mike

great review chris, i sometimes leave the ash long to just because i want to see just how far it will go, so kudos to you for doing it to.

Good review! Nice ash, like that you left it on. I never really smoke too many Conn. wrapper cigars until I smoked the Camacho Conn. and loved it. Glad you brought that up, ill try the Oliva and Perdomo Patriarch.

I told you guys before!! The Camacho and Oliva Connie’s aren’t even in this cigars league. Now the Perdomo runs close to $7 at CI here while the Oliva is closer to $4, but the Perdomo Patriarch Connie Epicure is out of this world and well worth the price tag. I am not a big mild body fan, but this cigar is fantastic. Get one in the larger ring gauge, I prefer the Epicure but haven’t had the torpedo yet. Smoke this cigar now!!!

Excellent review. Nice job and thanks for taking the time. I am going to have to get that for sure. Unfortunately because of NYS cigar tax a normal $4-6 is $6-$8 in NYS. I am always $2-$3 more that what most sites quote for cigars.
