Siglo III

Today I’m smoking a Siglo from Altadis. The Siglo, most commonly associated with Habana Cohibas, is a new line from Altadis that was introduced in late March of 2009. The Siglo III is a lonsdale, measuring in at 6 1/2 x 44 and retails for about $5.50 per stick. The wrapper is a medium brown Ecuadorian Habano. The filler is a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco, while the binder is a Nicaraguan Broadleaf. With a popular name association, such as Siglo, this cigar has a lot to live up to. We’ll see if it meets the challenge.

Nice job. Had one of these over memorial day and I agree with your review. definately some unrefined and lacking flavors.

Thanks for your honesty on this cigar Chris..from your review I don’t think I’ll ber picking these up..I’ve wasted enough money on cigars that were reviewed favorably, but just didn’t suit my taste at all..So I appreciate you saving me the time and money on this cigar..

Thanks for the review. I think they’re trying to use the looks and name of this cigar to make big $$$.

Chris your review is spot on. I had the same issues with mine. The pepper was just not right at all and punched me in the back of the throat. I have one left in my humidor that I am hoping time will mellow it out. Great job on the review!!!!!
