Introduced in 2003, the Perdomo Reserve Cameroon was recognized in multiple cigar publications as being an excellent cameroon wrapped cigar. The particular vitola I smoked for this review was the “R”, which is a 5 x 54 robusto. I have some history with this cigar which I will explain in the video, but if you’re […]
Four years ago, RTDA came to New Orleans and two week after the show, the mother of all storms hit us….Katrina. After 4 years and changing its name to IPCPR, it has come back bigger and better than ever with hundreds of vendors. Many cigar companies introduced a lot of new cigars and it seemed […]
The cigar today is the El Baton robusto from J.C. Newman. It’s their first Nicaraguan puro, and is made by Fabrica de Tabacos San Rafael S.A. It’s larger than a standard robusto at 54 ring gauge. Does it live up to it’s advertising slogan “Mucho flavor. Little dinero.”?
The Mx2 line from CAO has been out for a few years now, however a few months ago they released a new addition to the line with the Box-press. I was a fan of the original line, particularly the robusto, so I’ll give this new vitola a shot and let you know what I think.

This week is the 77th annual International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association trade show, being held this year in New Orleans. Cigar makers, accessory manufacturers, and others take this opportunity to announce new products to the retailers who belong to the organization. Which new offering are you most excited about?
Chris and I got the chance to smoke together again, and decided to review the Tatuaje Monster “The Frank”. The first of thirteen releases in the series, the Frank is a double corona, box-pressed wrapped in a veiny, oily Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper.
The Lotus 20 lighter features a wind resistant triple flame, 8mm cigar punch, fuel window and electronic quartz ignition. I’ve used this lighter for about a month in an attempt to get a good idea of how well the lighter performs. With well over 100 cigars lit and numerous refills it’s time to let you […]
I’m back with another Lancero this week. Today we have EO Brand’s Cubao No. 3, which weighs in at 7.5” x 38. This blend is the brainchild of Erik Espinosa and Eddie Ortega with the help of Don Pepin Garcia. According to EO/United Tobacco’s website the Cubao is manufactured in Estelí, Nicaragua and is comprised […]
